Sunshine

Another of Amen’s Unpublished Translations, except this one was actually commissioned for and published on the GENSOstorage channel. Never made it to the site for some reason though. (I was too lazy to do the romaji and put in the artist info. This will be a common theme.)

hidamari no naka de hitori me o tojite ireba
betsu no sekai ni mayoi konda mitai ni kanjita

When I closed my eyes alone in the sun
I felt like I wandered into a different world

hikari no ame no naka de hitori tori nokosare
kiri torareta sekai ni ittai nani omou no ka
shizukesa ni toi kaketemo kotae wa denakute
kanjirareru no wa atatakana hizashi dake datta

Left behind in a downpour of light,
just what do you think about in a cut off world?
Though I ask the stillness, no response comes back
All that I could feel was the warmth of the sunlight

te o nobashi to o kazashi
hikari o tsukande
te o nobashi te o kazashi
hikari o toji kome

Reaching out, holding out my hands
Seizing the light
Reaching out, holding out my hands
Locking away the light

hidamari ni tokeru you ni
hidamari ni mazaru you ni

As if melting in the sun
As if mixing together in the sun

te o nobashi to o kazashi
kasuka na netsu o
te o nobashi to o kazashi
tashika na hizashi o

Reaching out, holding out my hands
For the faint heat
Reaching out, holding out my hands
For the doubtless sunlight

hikari o atsumete
chiisa na hidamari o
hikari o toji komete
chiisa na hidamari o

Gathering the light
The small spot where the sun shines
Locking away the light
The small spot where the sun shines
