ブルームーン | Blue Moon

Probably my favourite song of this album. NSY arrangements are my favourite. It’s easy to recognize NSY songs whenever you hear the thing going on at 1:20, which I love. Another indicator is heavy use of what I think are violins. Stylistically, it’s often hard to tell the difference between Wani and NSY, but NSY does have a signature “epic” style that he goes for usually once every Sally album, that usually have Shuriken lyrics. This is more Sally commentary than monochrome-coat though.

Notes: I’m not entirely satisfied with that first stanza.

Another rare Alst track. No Haruka lyrics this time, but Misawa’s are pretty good too.

Notes: I was unable to reconcile the apparent speaker shift, so I have to assume that it was on purpose. It would be simple to just say “you were engulfed” or “you’ll lose your destination and name and memories” etc but something about that feels wrong to me, like it should be more obvious with at least one あなた or different sentence structure if that were the case. And as for “where is that chuckle coming from,” I’m absolutely sure it’s not the lost child laughing. But speaker changes are still strange. Ech.
咲き乱れる華の遅すぎた春色 also felt a bit awkward as it was so I changed the sentence structure a tiny bit.
