A Flower Without Form

Requested by Anacoonda ages ago, this song has some awkward grammar going on -so much so that it was painful at some points. I was able to guess who the lyricist for this was based solely on that: the one known for strange structure. くまりす, the Shuriken of EastNewSound. Still nowhere near the real Shuriken’s level of lyric confusion though, that stuff is nuts, but relative to the rest of the ENS crew, it’s a fitting title.

It also seems that Maiko has already translated this song here, if you want another perspective.

★ Title:
☆ Album: Infect Paranoia
★ Album Artist: EastNewSound
☆ Vocals: Rie Ayase (綾瀬 理恵)
★ Lyrics: Kumarisu (くまりす)
☆ Arrangement: Kokuchou (黒鳥)

ah shiroi suna yoseru nami nagare tsuku kohaku iro to
furi sosogu kurai ame kuzure ochi awa no naka

Ah, the white sand, the incoming waves, the colours of amber washing ashore
and the downpouring dark rain fall in the bubbles

ah tsumi kasaneta jidai no naka kawaranai nani mo kamo

Ah, in this era where it’s all gathered up, not a thing changes
Even if after all this time I notice the important things I lost

matataku kono chihei de hitomi o sasu hikari
umarete kita riyuu mo shiranai 「motomete」
deai to wakare kara mo oboeta kanjou to
hitoshikiri ni afureta oetsu wa 「aishite」

On this sparkling horizon, the light pierces my eyes
I don’t even know why I was born, “then seek”
The feelings I learned from meetings, even from goodbyes,
and the sobs that temporarily flooded out, “love them”

ah toritome no nai kotoba hitori kizutsuiteitemo
nani ge nai hitokoto de kimochi ga waki majiwaru

Ah, even if I’m hurt alone by unwanted words
with just a few simple words my feelings cross with excitement

ah fureta hada to karamu yubi ni tsutawaru sono omoi mo
motomerareta sono ibasho wa jibun janakute ii

Ah, even if the home that was saught for and the thoughts passed down
through the skin I touched and entwined fingers aren’t my own it’s fine

ikudo to kuri kaesu dasei sae kokochiyoi
mueki ni sae omoeta kemuri no yukusue

Even the countlessly repeating habits are pleasant
The future of the smoke I even thought was pointless

ai to iu katachi nai hana

A flower without form called love

matataku kono chihei de hitomi o sasu hikari
umarete kita riyuu mo shiranai 「motomete」
deai to wakare kara mo oboeta kanjou to
hitoshikiri ni afureta oetsu wa 「aishite」

On this sparkling horizon, the light pierces my eyes
I don’t even know why I was born, “then seek”
The feelings I learned from meetings, even goodbyes,
and the sobs that temporarily flooded out, “love them”

  1. Infect Paranoia is ENS’s original composition album; it’s not an arrange of Dream Battle.

Thank you for the translation though!

    • Whoops, I totally forgot to get rid of that, thanks.
I usually copy and paste information from previous songs and replace the things that don’t fit, but sometimes things get by me.
