Cloudy, later fair

And so begins my hobby as an amateur translator~

I’ll be making more translations whenever I come across songs that I like which have none currently posted online. As said, I’m only an amateur translator. I’m sure I’ll make some mistakes, so feel free to suggest corrections.

usui kumo ni sotto yume o egaite
kotoba o sagasu
mi sukasareta you ni

Softly and quietly drawing my dreams on thinly sparsed clouds
Searching for the perfect words
it’s as if they were just looked right past

koe ni naranakutemo
todokeyou kimi made
yoru wa sugu akeru

Even though my voice may be soundless
Let us reach out, far out to you
The night will soon open to dawn

akenai yo wa nai to bokura (tooi yakusoku)
shinjiteita keredo bokura (hanaseru no kana)

“There’s no such thing as an endless night” we have said (A far away promise)
I had used to believe, however, both of us (can we be kept apart?)

sore wa douyara (douyara) mada saki mitai
kumori zora (douyara) mada tsudzuku mitai
sore demo ne ii yo
kitto doko ka de mata hareru

It looks like somehow that (somehow that) it still remains ahead
The cloudy skies will (somehow) still continue
However despite this it’s alright
Surely somewhere else the sun still shines

usui kumo wa sotto yubi de hiraite
kotae o sagasu
oite ikareta you ni

Softly and quietly the thin clouds spread at but a touch
Searching for the right answer
it’s as if it left us abandoned

koe ni naranai demo
utau yo kimi made
yoru wa sugu akeru

My voice may be soundless although
I will sing on, far out to you
The night will soon open to dawn

hiraita te ni nani mo bokura (tooi yakusoku)
tsukamenai mama zutto bokura (hanaseru no kana)

Both of us, within our open palms, everything (A far away promise)
and the forever ungraspable both of us (Can we be kept apart?)

sore wa douyara (douyara) mada saki mitai
kumori zora (douyara) mada tsudzuku mitai
sore demo ne ii yo
kitto doko ka de mata hareru

It looks like somehow that (somehow that) it still remains ahead
The cloudy skies will (somehow) still continue
However despite this, it’s alright
Surely somewhere else the sun remains shining

nozoita me ni utsuru bokura (tooi yakusoku)
namida nijimi kasumu bokura (hanaseru no kana)

Reflected in the peeping eyes, both of us (A far away promise)
The growing hazy, soaked in tears, both of us (Can we be kept apart?)

kore wa douyara (douyara) mata dame mitai
kumori zora (douyara) mada tsudzuku mitai
sore demo ne ii to
kitto doko ka de mata aeru

It looks like somehow that (somehow that) this still remains useless
The cloudy skies will (somehow) still continue
However despite this, it’s fine if
surely somewhere we can ever meet again.

akenai yo wa nai to bokura (tooi yakusoku)
shinjiteita keredo bokura (hanaseru no kana)

“There’s no such thing as an endless night” we have said (A faraway promise)
I had used to believe, however, both of us (Can we be kept apart?)

sore wa douyara (douyara) mada saki mitai
kumori zora (douyara) mada tsudzuku mitaisore demo ne ii yo
kitto doko ka de mata hareru

It looks like somehow that (somehow that) it still remains ahead
The cloudy skies will (somehow) still continue
However despite this, it’s alright
Surely somewhere else the sun still shines
